ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½¡¯s history ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ South Korea began ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ 1999 with the first production plant manufacturÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g PowertraÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Systems ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Gyeongju, followed by another production site openÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Ansan, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ 2012, manufacturÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½novative Thermal Systems. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ South Korea expanded with two joÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½t ventures ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Daegu and Changwon. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Pyeonghwa (1988) ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Daegu produces dry clutch, clutch discs, clutch covers, release bearÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½gs, facÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½gs, Hydraulic products and torque converters, and ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Kapec (2017) manufactures torque converters (PowertraÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Systems). Samsung ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ (2006) ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Changwon manufactures Thermal Systems.
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ established 5 Research and Development centers ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Gyeongju, Daegu, Anyang, Changwon and Suwon to cover a diverse product portfolio. Today, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ is one of the biggest employers ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ the automotive sector ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ the country with over 3,500 employees. The company plans to ensure a significant growth of its busÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ess with hundreds of new job openÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½gs every year and plans for expansion ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ terms of production and R&D capacities.

In addition, South Korea is a key location for both the Group¡¯s production and its ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ternational Research and Development activities. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Korea consists of 4 BusÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ess Groups: Comfort DrivÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g Assistance (CDA), PowertraÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Systems (PTS), Thermal Systems (THS) and Visibility Systems (VIS).
The CDA BusÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ess Group created a South Korea Regional Operation ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ 2015, after experiencÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g steady growth sÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ce enterÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g Korea ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ 2008. This regional operation, which currently employs a large number of researchers, operates a maÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Research and Development center ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, and an affiliated R&D center with test tracks ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ the Daegu Technopolis Industrial Complex. It aims to develop mass-production projects for ADAS (Advanced DrivÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½g Assistance Systems), Connected Cars, and Interior Control-related systems.
